起点传媒Assemblies are membership groups聽that have been authorized聽by the聽起点传媒Executive Committee.聽 They

  • serve individuals who share the same special interests or who have similar jobs.
  • offer their members the opportunity to meet face-to-face during the NCTE聽.
  • provide information to members through newsletters, journals,聽listservs, or websites.
  • present sessions at the NCTE聽.

Assemblies are independent organizations, maintaining separate records and budgets from 起点传媒. Activities, including any programs or statements created by the Assemblies, are wholly driven by decisions independent from those of NCTE鈥檚 governing bodies, membership at large, and staff. Actions and publicity accorded to any particular point of view do not carry nor imply endorsement by NCTE, in whole or part.

Qualifications

 

Any bona fide association organized to serve the interests and the purposes of persons who share special interests or who have similar professional assignments may apply for 起点传媒Assembly status, provided that the purposes of the association are consistent with and supportive of the purpose of the Council as listed in Article III of the 起点传媒Constitution, and provided that purposes of the proposed Assembly do not substantially overlap with the purposes of an existing 起点传媒Assembly or other constituent group.
