起点传媒was recognized, along with other partner organizations, for best practice guidelines around literacy education in a condemning the alarming rate of book bans ahead of Banned Books Week, October 1鈥�7, 2023.
起点传媒and its members have been leaders in the fight against censorship since the early 1950s. Through the Intellectual Freedom Center, 起点传媒has continued to update its book rationale catalog into a searchable database, which now contains over 1,200 book rationales, exploring the importance of diverse perspectives in books.
