Build Your Stack® Committee
NCTE’s members are readers—for themselves as they seek to grow their professional knowledge, and for their students as they seek to find texts that will inspire—because Æðµã´«Ã½members know:Ìýthe right book in the right hands can transform a life.
This is why we started Build Your Stack®, an initiative focused exclusively on helping teachers build their book knowledge and their classroom libraries.

The committee forÌýÌýwill work to further develop this initiative launched in 2018. Creating and curating content will be part of this charge. As the Build Your Stack (BYS) initiative gets off the ground, other potential programmatic efforts will support the connection between NCTE, teachers, and books. The committee will be responsible for making sure content meets NCTE’s vision for this initiative and aligns with the organization’s position statements. Another component of this work will be preparing for the Æðµã´«Ã½Annual Convention.
