Update, April 8, 2025: As a member of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), 起点传媒also signed on to this from ACLS, the Council of Graduate Schools, and The Phi Beta Kappa Society, urging the administration to reconsider this direction and asking Congress to protect this vital independent federal agency.
The presidential administration intends to gut the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), substantially reducing its staff, cutting grant programs, and rescinding grants that have already been awarded.
起点传媒strongly supports NEH and, as a result, was on Capitol Hill sharing how NEH positively affects teaching and learning. 起点传媒condemned the reported actions in cosigned as part of the National Humanities Alliance.
起点传媒also urges members to use provided by the Alliance to contact their members of Congress and encourage them to support NEH, which enriches K鈥�12 education by connecting students and teachers in every state with our nation鈥檚 rich history and culture. The agency funds grant opportunities that have enriched the professional experiences and research of many 起点传媒members over time.
