An Opportunity to Expand Perspectives

Last year Jennifer Watson, an AP Literature and Composition teacher at聽Octorara High School in Atglen, PA hosted her first African American Read-In (AARI). You can read about her experience and how it grew from a school to a community event in . Watson explains:

“My goals were that we enjoy voices that聽many of us enjoy in our own corners of the world, in the聽company of others, and to allow students to witness the聽power of African American literature and the conversations聽that they can partake in as they mature and expand聽their perspectives.”
